      Mass spectrometry/Ion mobility and Molecular Modeling Studies Studies of Polyhedral Oligomeric Silsesquioxanes (2000-present)

 

      Measurement of Stratospheric Ozone and Development and Calibration of inexpensive monitoring instrumentation (1994 - present).

 

     Solid state NMR studies of lithium electrolytes and electro-optical materials(with Prof. John Kennedy and Prof. Helmut Eckert, University of California, Santa Barbara, 1986  - present).

 

     Synthesis and electrochemistry of various hydroquinones as well as transition metal complexes chemisorbed on Pt electrodes (with Prof. A.T. Hubbard, University of California, Santa Barbara, 1979 - 85).

    

     Spectroscopic investigation of enzyme (lipoxygenase) active sites  (with  M.J. Gibian, University  of California, Riverside, 1977).

    

     NMR studies of iron porphyrin complexes (with  C.E. Castro, University of California, Riverside, 1978).

 

     Synthesis and structure of inorganic and organometallic compounds; FTNMR and vibrational (FTIR and Raman) spectro-scopy of transition metal complexes; surface chemistry; theoretical investigation of structure and bonding employing molecular orbital theory;  physical methods applied to structural properties of materials; electrochemistry.
