Dear Class of 1992,

This evening a "Twelve Days of Christmas" devotional e-mail from my church popped into my in-box. I thought, "Is it really that close?" It is. The weeks go by fast, but the days are long and full.

Back in college, one of my favorite Bible passages was Isaiah 40:29-31

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;

For one thing, I was a youth. Studying and all the other concerns in college often made me feel tired, weary. Oh, if I only had that much energy now.

For many of you, it's been an exhausting year. Some of you lost sleep caring for newborns or, worrying about teenagers (Yes, we're getting that old!). Others worried about lost jobs, career changes, financial pressures, family decisions or maybe just turning forty (though I hope not; I hope you celebrated big).

I hope, however, that as you reflect on this past year, you've felt God giving you strength for the difficult times. And I hope you will feel blessed as you hope in the Lord, that you'll soar into 2010 on wings like eagles.

Merry Christmas to you and Happy New Year. And if you'd like to share any news, highs, lows, prayer requests, etc., we'd love to include it in these e-mail updates. Just email classagents@westmont.edu to get in touch with me.

Wishing you a blessed holiday,
Lori

P.S. Have you moved lately? Had a child? Changed jobs? Gotten married? Update your profile on Westmont’s Alumni Directory and stay in touch with your classmates!
