Dear Fellow 2010 Alumni, I pray your Spring is off to a good start! I begin this letter with a short musing on Spring itself, then provide an update on a fellow alumni, then will conclude with some opportunities provided by Westmont. Enjoy. 'Spring Forward' - many dread this phrase because it means you lose an hour of sleep however I experience that phrase differently. It reminds me time on earth is trivial but that every moment on earth should have meaning. We are told to set our clocks ahead but no one tells us to make time for an old friend, to walk barefoot in sand, or to eat way too much of ice-cream. So Westmont Class of 2010, I encourage you to find meaning in every moment the Lord provides and be thankful of His many blessings. Now a short update from a gentlemen who makes every moment count, Jimmy Wittrock. After graduating with a Political Science degree, Jimmy joined the re-election campaign for Washington State Senator, Patty Murray and helped her win the campaign. Jimmy then moved to Washington D.C, where he interned with California Senator Lois Capps and started grad school at George Washington University's prestigious Graduate School of Political Management. Jimmy recently got his biggest break working full time with the Democratic National Committee. Jimmy feels extremely blessed about his current situation and thanks God for allowing this opportunity. Lastly, Westmont is working to be a great resource for us in our careers, ministries, and friendships. We as alumni can be a resource for one another by sharing our skills and opportunities we know of with other alumni. If you're looking for work or Christian networking opportunities, reply to this email with your information. Or, for those of you who know of an opening at your business, church, etc, please send that information in as well. I'll collect your responses and put them in our next newsletter. I pray that God may richly bless you. In Christ,
