Dear Class of 1991,

Well, fall is definitely in the air here in Southern California. If you're going to be in Santa Barbara on October 14-15, we hope you'll drop by Homecoming for our 20-year reunion and catch up with friends. We personally can't make it up to campus this year but please know that we will dearly miss seeing everyone and will be wishing we were there enjoying all the Homecoming activities alongside you, our classmates!

Michelle Leavitt is our reunion leader this year. If you haven't been getting her updates on the exciting Reunion plans for our class, please visit our Class Reunion Webpage for all the details. It's not too late to make plans to be in Santa Barbara on October 14-15.

As always, we welcome and invite you to send us an article about what you've been up to recently. We'll collect your responses and include them in our next class communication. For this newsletter, Shelley Cecil and Steve Hirons wrote updates about what the Lord's being doing in their lives during these past 2 decades.

Happy 20-year reunion everyone...can you even believe it's been 20 years? Wow!

In His Love,
Kris and Tyler Gibbs, Class Agents for 1991

It is a privilege for me to share with you the miracles of God and the journey that He has brought me through these past 20 years. I "asked Jesus into my heart" when I was only four years old. I was raised in a Christian home, attended Christian schools from 1st grade all the way through Westmont, memorized scriptures, went to church, and practiced all the routines of a good Christian. I knew Jesus as my savior and my way to eternal life in heaven, but did not know the freedom and joy of a real love relationship with Him, nor was He Lord of my life.

I married a year after graduation. However, God was not in our relationship, so we did not have a true foundation for our marriage. After divorcing, I moved back to my family in Dallas, Texas. Only six years ago, Jesus revealed Himself to me in a way that truly changed my life. He completely delivered me in one summer from several destructive habits. He changed these desires into a passion for Him alone. The understanding of how "the fear of the Lord leads to abundant life" transformed my heart.

Discovering who I am in Christ continues to be an exciting adventure. Nothing brings me greater pleasure than spending time with Jesus in worship, reading His Word, and telling others about the good news of the gospel. My favorite activities have changed from partying to street evangelism! It is comforting to know that I am in Jesus' loving hands, continually being molded into His image!!

Got a late start on the marriage thing but have made up for lost time with my fantastic wife BillieAnne and daughters Samantha 4.5 years and Adelaide 2.5 years. New son Caleb 0.5 years is keeping us on our toes! Growing the family business of 2 drugstores in Eugene, OR and still helping with Young Life 10+ years now! Still have a passion for tennis and staying in shape especially since I am old and my kids are so young! Have seen the Lord answer many prayers especially by bringing BillieAnne into my life 7 years ago. Will be bringing Caleb to the 20-year reunion so look for the crying baby and say hi!
