Hello Westmont Class of 2000alumni!

I hope this email finds you all doing well! It's amazing to me that 12 years have passed since we crossed the Westmont Commencement Stage. Each May, I think about the sunny day when we received our diplomas and stepped into the next chapter in our lives. As a class, we went on answer God's calling through graduate programs, ministry, public service, family life, and more.

If you're like me, no matter how busy life gets, there are moments when your mind wanders back to the beautiful Santa Barbara days. Among other things, I recall outdoor class lectures, Spring Sing, my time on Europe Semester, and serious conversations about my faith with friends. So when Westmont asked me if I would be interested in helping our class stay more connected--to the college and to each other--I accepted without hesitation.

As the Class Agent for the class of 2000, I'll be writing a series of quarterly newsletters to help us stay connected and keep you informed of the latest news and events occurring at Westmont. My hope is that you'll remain an active member of the ever-growing Westmont community and find your place of involvement in the ongoing life and mission of the college.

I hope you'll take a moment to share with me what you've been doing these last 12 years, and how God is working in your daily life. If you're a teacher, how have the students that you teach every day shown you a new way to look at the world? If you're a stay at home mom, what have you learned about the characteristics of God through your kids? If you're one of the many who are unemployed or underemployed in today's economy, how has God sustained you?

So, please share! Email me a snapshot of how you spend your days or what you've been doing since we left the Westmont Campus. Contact me by email at classagents2000@westmont.edu.

I look forward to hearing your stories (and I'll start with sharing my own in the next newsletter).
